Seb Recordon

Seb obtained his law and arts degrees from Victoria University of Wellington, graduating in 2015. He was admitted as a junior barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2015. Seb began his career as a junior barrister before joining Glaister Keegan in 2020, a highly respected law firm based in Auckland, New Zealand. Seb obtained a Master of Laws (with First Class Honours) from the University of Auckland in 2020.

Seb has practised as a litigator and dispute resolution specialist throughout his career. He has acted in a range of disputes, including contentious trust and estate, family and commercial. Seb has acted for clients at all levels of the New Zealand court system.

Seb has written articles that have been published in national and international legal journals on topics relating to matrimonial property law, mental capacity law, and international aspects of family law.

Seb joined Pinney Talfourd as a Senior New Zealand Qualified Lawyer in the Contested Wills and Probate team in 2026 after spending time travelling overseas.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

Seb is a music fanatic who enjoys hunting for vinyl records and attending concerts. He holds a Diploma in Music Performance from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Seb also enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends. He has both British and French ancestry and he is enjoying being in closer proximity to his Northern Hemisphere relatives.
