Pinney Talfourd’s Charity of the Year
We are delighted to announce that our charity of the year for 2023/2024 will be Parkinsons UK.
In May of every year, we consult with our staff in order to choose a charity to support for the financial year ahead. For 2023/24 we have decided to support Parkinsons UK.
Parkinsons UK is close to major breakthroughs. Funding the right research into the most promising treatments to get closer to a cure every day.
Until then, Parkinsons UK support everyone affected by Parkinson’s. Fighting for fair treatment and better services.
People with Parkinson’s, scientists and supporters, fundraisers and families, carers and clinicians, all working side by side. Impatient for change, Parkinsons UK are taking a stand, speaking out, chipping in, and playing their part.
“We’re a people-powered movement on the verge of major breakthroughs in Parkinson’s. Together, we will find a cure. We help people to live as well as possible. And make sure everyone understands the real impact of Parkinson’s”.
Throughout the year Pinney Talfourd will hold a number of fundraising events to help raise funds for Parkinsons UK. These events will vary from charity runs, dress down days, bake sales, sweepstakes and major fundraising events / days / nights.
In addition, each year we work with Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch to host an annual Christmas charity concert for the local community to enjoy and get into the Christmas spirit.
Proceeds are split between our Charity of the Year and the Queen’s Theatre Charitable Trust.
At the end of each client matter, we send a Client Questionnaire in order to understand their experience with the firm. For each Client Questionnaire returned to us, we donate £1 to our charity of the year, this year being Parkinsons UK.
