Pinney Talfourd’s Charity of the Year
We are delighted to announce that our charity of the year for 2024/2025 will be Haven House Children’s Hospice.
In May of every year, we consult with our staff to choose a charity to support for the financial year ahead. For 2024/25 we are delighted to announce that we have chosen Haven House Children’s Hospice.
Haven House Children’s Hospice cares for seriously ill babies and children up to the age of 18, creating a loving and warm environment for them and their families during their toughest times.
They offer round-the-clock care at their hospice in Woodford Green, as well as through outreach services in the home and local community, providing day care, overnight stays, end-of-life care, and bereavement support.
Additionally, Haven House enriches the lives of the children with activities such as sensory play, music therapy, and physiotherapy, ensuring families have quality time together from the moment of a devastating diagnosis.
Their mission is to provide the highest quality palliative and holistic care services to babies, children and young people and their families in our local communities. They will deliver these services when needed and in families’ preferred place of care.
Throughout the year, Pinney Talfourd will organise a variety of fundraising events to support Haven House Children’s Hospice. These events will range from charity runs, dress-down days, and bake sales to sweepstakes and major fundraising events. Past initiatives have included skydives, abseils, and 24-hour dance challenges.
Additionally, we collaborate annually with the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch, to host a Christmas charity concert for the local community to revel in the festive spirit. Proceeds are divided between our Charity of the Year and the Queen’s Theatre Charitable Trust. Last year the concert raised £1,829.25 for Parkinson’s UK.

Complete Our Client Satisfaction Surveys – at the conclusion of every client matter, we send out a Client Questionnaire to gather feedback on your experience with the firm. For each returned questionnaire, we donate £1 to our chosen charity of the year, Haven House Children’s Hospice. Over the course of the year it all adds up.
Support Our Team in Fundraising Challenges – show your support for our team when they take on a fundraising challenge. In the past, they have thrown themselves out of aeroplanes, danced for 24 hours, run marathons, and cycled 100 miles across London and Essex.
Sponsor one of our Fundraising Events – our business contacts can show their support by sponsoring one of our fundraising events. In the past, we have hosted events that would not have been successful without the generosity and support of our business contacts, whether through sponsorship, prize donation, or attendance. Most of the money raised at our Charity Christmas Concert comes from advertising, and nearly all the raffle prizes are from local businesses.
