12/07/2023

After raising £8,831 for Kids Inspire, our last Charity of the Year, staff were given the chance to vote for the firm’s new charity of the year. After a week of voting, we are delighted to announce that Parkinson’s UK was announced as the clear winner.

Parkinson’s UK fund research into the most promising treatments and are close to making major breakthroughs. Until a cure is found, Parkinson’s UK support everyone affected by Parkinson’s, whether that is fighting for fair treatment and better services.

Parkinson’s UK Mission

“We’re a people-powered movement on the verge of major breakthroughs in Parkinson’s. Together, we will find a cure. We help people to live as well as possible. And make sure everyone understands the real impact of Parkinson’s”.

Catherine Loadman, Partner and Head of the Pinney Talfourd Charity Committee comments:

“I am delighted that our staff members voted for Parkinson’s UK to be our charity of the year form 2023/2024. I am looking forward to working with the local Havering branch to raise funds specifically for people diagnosed with Parkinson’s in our local community. The charity committee have lots of ideas in the pipeline to raise funds, a sunflower growing competition is already well underway and two of our lawyers recently participated in Ride London-Essex, a 100 mile cycling event to raise funds so we are off to an excellent start.”
