Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

17/03/2020

We want to reassure our clients that we have put in place a robust business contingency plan to ensure that we continue to provide a seamless service to our clients during these uncertain times.

All of our lawyers have full remote access so they can be contacted in the usual way. We anticipate all of our offices remaining open although we have taken a number of steps to minimise risk to our staff and clients. Some of our practice support staff will be working remotely whilst the others will remain working in the offices with additional safeguards in place. If there is a need for us to close one or more of our offices, we have plans in place to allow our lawyers and practice support staff to continue to work without any disruption to our clients or the service we provide.

We have advised all of our staff to closely monitor their own personal situation and to advise us if they present with any symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with symptoms. All staff have been provided with extra hand sanitisers and reminders to maintain the high standards of cleanliness we have in each office. We have also been working closely with our cleaning staff across the offices to ensure that our offices are cleaned to a regular high standard on a daily basis.

We have prevented all personal interaction between our offices since early March in order to keep each office entirely separate in the event of an issue arising. To date, none of our offices have been affected by the Coronavirus.

Meetings and events

Unless a face to face meeting is absolutely essential, we are now conducting all meeting by phone (including video facility where appropriate) to limit social contact. We ask that in the first instance you call or email us to arrange a time to discuss your matter with you.

We have taken the decision to cancel all of our events in March and will be reviewing this decision regularly to cover events in the coming months. We have also asked staff to not attend any external networking events to limit their social exposure.

Going forward

Client and staff welfare and the continuation of excellent advice and client service remain our primary concerns and we are working hard to continue to provide this in these difficult times. We will contact you personally if any adjustment needs to be made to the timings of the delivery of any work or where work may be required to be allocated to other members of the team.

We are closely monitoring the advice provided by the Government on the Coronavirus outbreak and ensuring that our working practices closely follow this advice. This section of our website will be updated regularly as events progress.

Thank you all for your understanding and support.

Philip Cockram, Managing Partner***Please note we have made the decision to close our receptions until further notice. Our staff are working remotely and can be contacted by email or phone. Appointments are strictly by appointment only. We thank you for your understanding at this time.***
