The team

Our Court of Protection team is proudly led by Matthew Edwards, a trusted expert recognised nationally. Matthew is one of just 126 solicitors in the country appointed to the Court Approved Panel of Professional Deputies, a position he has held since 2015 and which was renewed in 2025 for a further ten-year term mark of his exceptional skill and integrity. The team support clients through every step of this complex and sensitive legal process.

About you

We are keen to hear from a talented and ambitious Lawyer to be part of our busy Court of Protection Team covering Essex and London. Working alongside the teams Panel Deputy, you will ideally have an in depth knowledge of the Deputy Standards and in turn be able to deal with day-to-day Deputy general management. This includes working with clients who have been victims of serious financial abuse or have complex financial needs. You will also have experience dealing with Court applications for Deputyship appointments, statutory Wills, estate planning and trust related matters.

You will be required to take part in and initiate marketing, networking, and other business development activities in order to maintain and develop work from both existing and potential clients.
