Charity of the Year 2026/27

We are proud to announce that our Charity of the Year for 2026/27 is Aching Arms.

Aching Arms is a UK charity that provides comfort and support to families who have experienced the heartbreak of losing a baby during pregnancy, at birth or shortly afterwards. Through their dedicated services, they help bereaved parents and families feel less alone during some of life’s most difficult moments.

At Pinney Talfourd, we are committed to supporting causes that make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve. Aching Arms’ work resonates deeply with our values of compassion, support and building lasting relationships with those who need help when it matters most.

About Aching Arms

Aching Arms is best known for its comfort bears, which are given to bereaved families as a gift from one family to another in memory of a baby who has been lost. Each bear serves as a reminder that grieving parents are not alone and that their baby’s life is remembered.

Alongside their comfort bear programme, Aching Arms provides emotional support through its Supporting Arms service, giving families the opportunity to speak with trained volunteers who have personal experience of baby loss. The charity also works to improve bereavement care, raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss, and support healthcare professionals and employers through training and education.

Today, Aching Arms supports families across the UK and works with more than 160 hospitals, hospices and other organisations to ensure bereaved parents can access comfort and support when they need it most.

Pinney Talfourd Fundraising

Over the coming year, we will be working closely with Aching Arms to raise both awareness and vital funds for the charity. Our colleagues will be taking part in a variety of fundraising activities and events, and we look forward to sharing updates throughout the year.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our clients, contacts and local communities, whose generosity helps make our fundraising efforts possible.

How you can help

Attend Our Christmas Concert

Join us in December for our Charity Christmas Concert.

Support Our Fundraisers

Show your support for our team when they take on a fundraising challenge. In the past, they have thrown themselves out of aeroplanes, danced for 24 hours, run marathons, and cycled 100 miles across London and Essex.

Get Involved

If you’re interested in participating in any of our fundraising events or have suggestions on how we can further support our charity partners, please get in touch. We welcome your involvement and ideas.

Complete Our Client Surveys

At the conclusion of every client matter, we send out a Client Questionnaire to gather feedback on your experience with the firm. For each returned questionnaire, we donate £1 to our chosen charity of the year, Haven House Children’s Hospice. Over the course of the year it all adds up.

Sponsor an Event

Our business contacts can show their support by sponsoring one of our fundraising events. In the past, we have hosted events that would not have been successful without the generosity and support of our business contacts, whether through sponsorship, prize donation, or attendance. Most of the money raised at our Charity Christmas Concert comes from advertising, and nearly all the raffle prizes are from local businesses.

Share Our Fundraising Stories

Please don’t forget to share and like our fundraising stories on social media. The more exposure we bring to the cause, the better!
