Joel Cater is a Solicitor who specialises in Residential and Commercial Property Disputes.
Joel qualified as a Solicitor in 2024 and joined the Property Disputes team at Pinney Talfourd in 2026.
Joel advises on a wide range of disputes, with particular expertise in property litigation. His experience includes breach of contract claims, landlord and tenant disputes, property disrepair, adverse possession, disputes under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA), breaches of restrictive covenants, easements and rights of way, service charge disputes, and leasehold disputes.
Joel takes a client-focused and pragmatic approach, balancing the pursuit of favourable outcomes with effective risk management. He provides clear, straightforward advice tailored to each client’s individual needs and objectives, guiding them through the legal process and explaining the options available. He also recognises that litigation often requires a commercially focused approach, handled with sensitivity and an appreciation of the wider circumstances.
Outside work, Joel enjoys training for and competing in triathlons, as well as clay pigeon shooting. He hopes to complete an Ironman challenge in the future.
