Stephen Eccles
Stephen is a Partner and Solicitor and Heads our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department.
He now specialises in commercial and property disputes, but has a wealth of experience in other areas, notably, licensing, and insolvency.
Previously, Stephen has specialised in Personal Injury work and continues to be a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel. Stephen continues to act in clinical negligence cases work where he has a very high success rate.
Stephen qualified from Durham University in 1983 and attended Law School in the City of London where he trained, qualifying as a solicitor in 1986. He worked for a niche practice in Baker Street, W1 until 1992 when he moved to head the Litigation Department of Kingsfords, Ashford, Kent, where he became a Partner. Subsequently, Stephen joined Talfourds as a Partner in 1997.
Stephen represents clients in the High Court, County Court, Coroner's Courts and Tribunals and uses his extensive experience to provide a professional and effective service to individuals and corporate clients in resolving commercial, property and personal disputes.
Stephen has a proactive common sense approach to all cases and understand the needs of all his clients. In particular, Stephen balances an in depth knowledge of commercial law with an understanding of the commercial realities of business disputes.
