Catherine Polli
Catherine is a Partner of the Firm, a Solicitor and the head of our Family Law Team.
Catherine graduated from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne before being called to the Bar in 1997. She then practised as family specialist from London Chambers' until 2003 when she left to become Head of Family at another Essex-based firm of solicitors. Catherine joined Pinney Talfourd in 2004, converted to become a solicitor in 2005 and became a Partner on 1st May 2006.
She has wide experience in all areas of family law and has represented clients at all levels of Court up to the Court of Appeal. She has particular expertise in dealing with complex financial issues, particularly involving the resolution of financial issues upon divorce. She regularly represents clients with business interests, assets abroad or property portfolios or clients employed in the City.
She also has considerable experience of children cases and preparing prenuptial agreements.
She has a "no nonsense" proactive approach to her work. Whilst trying to ensure she takes a conciliatory approach to cases Catherine ensures cases are progressed quickly.
Catherine is a member of Resolution formerly the Solicitors family law association, and a trained Collaborative Lawyer.
She undertakes training with local interest groups and trains Macmillan nurses across the South East on family law issues. She is a member of the Havering Solicitors Group, West Essex Law Society and a Committee Member of the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce.
