Ideally you will have experience advising upon all aspects of Family law.
You will have an excellent working knowledge and understanding of those practice areas and you will be familiar with running and managing your own cases with appropriate supervision.

You will be required to take part in and initiate marketing, networking, and other business development activities in order to maintain and develop work from both existing and potential clients.

Our private client team are in high demand and seek a hands-on Team Assistant where you will provide effective support services to the lawyer(s). When it comes to variety this role offers lots! So, it is important that you are confident in managing busy diaries, digital dictation, a whole range of admin and thrive working within a fast-paced environment. Previous experience is ideal, although training will be provided in unfamiliar areas. Amongst your day to day duties, you will:

  • Deal with new business enquiries, follow up enquiries and provide accurate record keeping
  • Carry out all necessary conflict, money laundering and ID checks
  • Undertake a range of admin duties including data entry, completion of forms, managing diaries and travel, expenses, research, drafting of documentation, booking of events, meeting preparation and more
  • Liaise with other areas of the business such as accounts/marketing teams
  • Provide Audio typing (Bighand) and copy typing as required
  • Liaise with clients and third parties as instructed by Lawyers
  • Attend to clients, delivering documentation as/when required

It’s extremely important that you are motivated and can demonstrate a “can do” approach. You’ll need the ability to work well under pressure, be flexible, proactive, take ownership of issues and offer solutions. Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Packages
  • Knowledge of Tikit TFB desirable
  • Good working knowledge of third party applications where appropriate e.g. Bighand, Oyez etc
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail

We are looking for candidates with confidence in managing busy diaries, digital dictation and with previous experience in a variety of work, although training will be provided in unfamiliar areas.
