Pinney Talfourd sponsors charity cricket event
Pinney Talfourd LLP was proud to help raise £3,000 for James Foster's Benefit Match between Upminster Cricket Club and Essex County Cricket Club on Sunday 18 September.
As one of the main sponsors a number of our staff attended the match and the local public also turned out in force to enjoy this occasion.
Essex batted first scoring 292/7 off of their 35 overs with Michael Comber hitting 114 not out and Mark Pettini 79. In reply Upminster got close thanks to Akbar Jabaars 102 but fell short as Ollie Peck's late cameo was cut short by James Fosters bowling.
Everyone was blessed with excellent weather and were treated to some excellent cricket throughout the day.
Upminster Cricket Club commented "A huge thank you to the many sponsors whose financial support enables these games to take place. Hopefully Upminster Cricket Club will be able to hold a similar game in 2012."
